On Sunday, October 19th, we had the babies blessed at our church. Some of Eric's family from Utah flew out for the occasion: his mom, two sisters (April and Julie), two nieces (Sarah and Kate), Aunt Marie and cousin Tia. My parents and grandparents were in attendance as well.
This was a day we had been looking forward to since the babies were born. It was also the first outing to somewhere other than a walk around the neighborhood or to one of many doctor appointments. It was quite the production trying to get everyone fed, packed up and ready to leave in order to make it to the church on time. Once we got there, various family members helped us get the babies dressed in their precious white outfits in the lobby and then we carried them into the chapel, wrapped in beautifully crocheted blankets made by Aunt Marie for the occasion. Krista, Jamison and Kiera looked like little angels!
Eric did a great job giving each baby their blessing as he was directed by the Spirit. Each blessing was unique and special to that baby. It was a very emotional time for all of us. The congregation was very excited to see all of the babies, some for the first time, as Eric held each precious bundle in the air after their blessing was finished. What a proud moment!
The remainder of the service was uneventful. No monitors went off, thank goodness! The babies were so good and everyone was impressed! Following the meeting, our friend, Mya, was sweet enough to take pictures of the babies and our family to help us remember this special day. We can't wait to see how they turned out and post them on here for you to see.
We enjoyed the rest of the day with all of our family and had our traditional celebratory lasagna dinner. The time went by so quickly and it was soon time to take Eric's family to the Metro station so they could go backto their hotel. They had an early Monday morning flight. We were able to take a quick detour to the Washington D.C. Temple before sending them off. We were disappointed to see them leave after such a short visit. Overall, it was a great day, one that we will remember for years to come!

I wish I could have been there. It must have been a special day. I can't imagine trying to get 3 babies ready for a baby blessing... WOW. Tell Mya hi for me. Does she have a blog?
Jamie- They are so precious! They do look like little angels! Im so glad you have a supportive family and a wonderful husband that holds the priesthood. I am looking forward to this day for us! Steve gave me a blessing last night that the babies would all be healthy and ready to enter this world soon. We are so lucky to have the gospel in our lives, dont you think? Congrats
