1st Easter Egg Hunt!

A couple of families from church were kind enough to hold an Easter egg hunt for all the kids so we jumped on the opportunity.

When we arrived at the park, we passed out the Easter buckets to each of the triplets. We did a trial run the day before just so that they would know what to do with the eggs once they found them.

We let the kids out of the stroller and they were itching to get started. Krista went and picked up an egg before the hunt even started. She was so proud of her first find!


Once the hunt officially began, all three kids took off in separate directions. Krista hunted with Daddy, Jamison with Nonna, and Kiera with Mommy.

Jamison's method was to squat to pick up an egg while Nonna held his bucket for him.


Kiera liked to get as low to the ground as possible to get all of her eggs. She really didn't need much help finding them either!


Krista wanted to be independent by holding the bucket all by herself. She took pride in every egg she placed inside!

Jamison started getting distracted from the hunt when he figured out there was something INSIDE the eggs: Yummy candy!


In the middle of the hunt, we had a surprise visitor: Poppy! Krista was so excited, she ran over to him and showed off her egg collection.

It paid off for Kiera with her being so small, she was able to get in some tight spots and ended up getting more eggs than everyone else!


Once the egg hunt was over, all the kids gathered under the pavilion to count the eggs and have an Easter lesson.

After that, we headed over to the swings to enjoy the nice day.


It will be fun to have an Easter egg hunt as a tradition for years to come!
